Victory for Donald Trump - Are we surprised?
The disenfranchised have spoken again! The results…. Despite polls favouring Hilary Clinton by a narrow margin, Donald Trump will be the 45th President of the United States winning the electoral college vote (see figure below). The Republican Party will have a majority in both the House and Senate as well as the presidency, the first time in 10 years. Brexit – Shooting yourself in the foot
June 23rd, 2016 voters in the UK surprised financial markets by voting to leave the EU. The final result was 51.9% Leave to 48.1% Remain. Adding to the shock was the resignation announcement from Prime Minister David Cameron effective in October. Where does the UK go from here?
